Listening to music outdoors in the summertime....aaahhh, so nice! For the past couple of years the Wornall Baptist Church has hosted a bluegrass festival to support athletic programs for neighboring Southwest High School. This Sunday, July 19, events kick off at 4pm at 400 W Meyer Blvd.
Outside the church, local bands will play on stage; there will be games for kids and food available to purchase. This part of the event is free. At 6:30pm, you can purchase a ticket to see featured performers Flatt Lonesome play inside the church--and what a glorious venue a church is for a concert! Flatt Lonesome is a six member band that plays bluegrass music, accented with traditional country sounds, progressive jams and gospel music. Ticket prices range from $12-$25 and are available for purchase online at www.brooksidebluegrass.com
