Today is American Touch Tag Day ~ Let's Play in The Rain!  How Many Members Can You Tag in Comments?

 

ImagecourtesyofMorguefile.tagyouareit.Today is American Touch Tag Day.  Surely you played "Tag -You're It" as a child!  We kinda' play a virtual version of  it when we are trying to reach someone on the phone and each side keeps leaving a message.. we play "phone tag".  

 

Well, according to Holiday Insights website, today is American  Touch Tag Day. Why not play right here in the Rain.. We've all got to work today but surely there will be a little time to play.  Commenting on others' posts is a great way to network and connect with others here in the Rain. 

 

I'm going to tag as many as I have time for in comments to their blogs.. 

 

In the child's game of chase, that person tagged, would try to tag someone else so they would no longer be "it".  Everyone would run from the child that was "it".  No one will be running away from your tags today on AR.. :)

Judi K Barrett you're it!  We used to play a game called 'free the bunch' - it only took one person to get to the 'proper spot and touch a tree' they then had to yell 'FREE the Bunch! And of course we'd start all over again......

Most likely because I was always very slow as a child. Being very slow made it so that I was ALWAYS "it". And being "it" loses its luster when you are "it" recess after recess, day after day, month after month, for what feels like a never ending eternity.  I'm sure that national touch tag day is a huge celebration for all of the fast kids on the playground, but us less fleet of foot children rue the thought of some faster, more agile child shouting out "let's play tag" as we poured onto the blacktop. Why can't today be tether ball day? That requires standing in one place, which slower moving children are great at!!

(I'm kidding, I was impossible to catch.....my therapist says I should get into the head of people who aren't me and see things from their perspective)
