Citizens unable to get to the polls on Election Day have an additional chance to fill-out a Vote by Mail Ballot on the Saturday before the election.
There’s no gubernatorial race in New Jersey this year. There are no congressional seats up for grabs. There’s not even a state Senate seat in play.
But there is an election on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Not only will the makeup of the next General Assembly be determined, but two seats on the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders will be filled along with numerous mayor and council seats in the county’s municipalities and many seats on school boards.

The Ocean County Clerk, in conjunction with the Board of Elections, is offering registered voters who can’t get to the polls on Election Day an opportunity to fill out a Vote by Mail Ballot in person on October 31.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., registered voters can visit the Ocean County Board of Elections office in the lower level of 129 Hooper Ave., in downtown Toms River to cast their ballot with a Vote by Mail Ballot.
Citizens taking advantage of the opportunity can park in the county parking garage adjacent to the building. Parking is free.
All Vote by Mail applications sent through the mail were to arrive at the County Clerk’s Office by October 27. After this date, all registered voters must apply in person at the Clerk’s Office to cast their ballot with a Vote by Mail Ballot.
The Ocean County Clerk’s election office is located at 118 Washington Street, Court House Room 107 in Toms River.
The final deadline for obtaining a Vote by Mail Ballot in person is 3 p.m.on November 2.
