NRT figures out marketing the hard way

By

I'll tell you exactly why this large listing portal did not work! Unlike the more nimble brokerages the web on a large scale is like spitting into the wind, being to broad casting to large of a net is a ridiculous concept, you cannot expect people to go to a portal and search for a home in NJ when you live in California, yes there are some people looking to make a large move like that but unlike people moving from people Belleville to Nutley!

Get the idea the hyper localized marketing and specialized marketing larger companies trying to be everything to everybody will just not work and that is one reason the site failed the other it's just way to expensive, the web has been engineered to work that way it needs to cater to the local community and for a large firm to do that would be a massive undertaking and very costly period.

We have the best local marketing around hands down and no one can replicate our online strategy NRT just proved it thank you NRT!

Great post about the value of local marketing - people want to know what their agent knows - not some big corporation

I like the idea of local, no need for the large on my end.
