Don't Give Up on Your Dreams

In last Friday's blog, we looked at how pricing your home incorrectly can lead to it remaining on the market.

There are, of course, a wide range of other reasons why a particular home is not selling and it could just be that, whatever the reasons in your case, you have withdrawn from the market in frustration and disappointment.

Our strong advice to you is to reconsider your position.

Right now, the Albuquerque area real estate market is doing really well. More home sales and rising prices are just two indicators that if your home isn't on the market right now that you could be missing a real opportunity to move on.

Indeed, across America, the summer months have seen increases in inventory, shorter selling times and appreciation in asking prices.

It's all adding up to a market that has real momentum again.

During the years of recession, many sellers disappeared from the market in sheer despair, either because there simply weren't any buyers or prices were simply too low to make selling the home the right decision.

Those bad times have really turned around now. What's more, mortgage rates continue to stay very, very low and make home purchase by far the best option for those buyers who might previously have considered renting to be the smartest move. While rents continue to rise, mortgage payments aren't doing the same and savvy buyers know that buying now allows them to lock in low rates for the life of the mortgage.

Another very common reason we see is that a seller simply partnered with an underperforming realtor. Sadly, not every realtor is as dedicated as we are at Everest Peak Realty, with ambitious and motivated staff who continue to develop their professional knowledge coached by the nation's top real estate trainers.

In summary, we think there are some truly compelling reasons for you to not give up on your dreams and give selling your home a second chance. Call us today for an informal, yet focused, discussion directly related to your individual needs and circumstances.
