What's on tap for fun this coming weekend in OKC?

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Fun and Events this coming Weekend!

Excited to see some interesting and fun activities coming up this weekend in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! As you know from reading my blogs and posts, I am very much involved with showing and selling great homes in OKC, but I also love Oklahoma City and the civic endeavors that our residents are making to move OKC forward in our quality of life. So if you are visiting OKC and wanting to take a break from house hunting, then you might want to pencil in some ideas for fun this coming weekend.

Here's a few things that I plan on checking out in our OKC lifestyle experience this weekend.

  • Orchid Show Guided Weekly Tour; 2 p.m.; Myriad Botanical Gardens, Crystal Bridge; 445-7080; Free with admission to Crystal Bridge. - This will be on Thursday March 3 and since I'm a member of the Myriad Botanical Gardens, I get to enjoy these events and proudly spread the good news about this facility in Downtown OKC. I can tell you that the membership benefits here are huge and the price is LOW. Please drop by and check out this Orchid Show Guided Tour!
  • Paseo Arts District First Friday Gallery Walk; 6 p.m.; Paseo Arts District; Event is free and it's a great district in OKC to take a stroll, eat at the great restaurants in Paseo and also see some wonderful LOCAL art! I'm a big 'Keep It Local' movement fan and really try to patronize all of our local art, food, entertainment and local business sponsored activity. Please join me in attending the Paseo Arts District 'First Friday' Gallery Walk this month..it's always the first Friday of each month.
  • Grieg’s Piano Concerto; 8 p.m.; Civic Center Music Hall; 297-2264. OKC Civic Center Music Hall, Thelma Gaylord Performing Arts Theatre. This is a part of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Classics Concert Series. I love our OKC Ballet and also greatly enjoy our OKC Philharmonic. The Civic Center Music Hall is located very close to the Oklahoma City Art Museum Cafe, so you should try to have dinner there before the performance (you won't be disappointed in the food and service) and then you can just walk over to the Civic Center to attend this wonderful performance of Grieg's Piano Concerto! The guest artist performing this piece is Jon Nakamatsu and the reviews he's gotten for his work are off the charts! He'll also be performing Prokofiev: Symphony #5 in B-flat major, Op. 100. Go see this performance Saturday, March 5th here in Oklahoma City!
  • Downtown Home Tour; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Downtown OKC. - This event is free and as a REALTOR® here in OKC, of course I plan on being there. If you are new to OKC or just want to learn more about urban living options in Oklahoma City, then you will want to take the FREE Downtown Home Tour on Sunday March 6th in OKC. Check the link below to take you to the Facebook Page for this event and you can see all the tour information.

That's it for my latest update on great times and fun things to do in Oklahoma City. Do you have any events that you want to create more exposure for in OKC? I'm happy to help share and spread events and information that will help residents and newcomers to learn and experience more about the great things to do in OKC! Let me know!
