How to Get People to Your Website from YouTube

According to YouTube.com:

YouTube has over a billion users — almost one-third of all people on the Internet — and every day people watch hundreds of millions of hours on YouTube and generate billions of views.

This statistic alone makes you realize how important YouTube is to your real estate business. Even a small percentage of over a billion users is a lot of people. Since we all want to drive traffic to our website, the question becomes, "How do I get people to my website from YouTube?"

  • Optimization - In order for people to find your video in the vast ocean of YouTube videos, you'll need to optimize it. Use appropriate keywords in your description. Add a a shortened link to your website. Goo.gl and TinyURL are good resources for this.

7 Essential Tips for Getting Traffic to Your YouTube Videos

  • Tell Them Where to Go - Put your contact information on your video. Joel Osteen is a preacher out of Houston, Texas. His Sunday morning worship service is broadcast all over the world. You will never hear him ask for donations. He doesn't have to. His services include a small snippet of thank you text at the bottom of the television screen with contact information for donations. Your YouTube videos also need to include a discreet contact information so people will know how to get in touch with you.

7 Essential Tips for Getting Your YouTube Video Seen Online

  • Call to Action - At the end of each YouTube video, give people a reason to visit your website. The "Call to Action" at the end of your video should include an enticing offer. Whether you're giving away a free e-book or providing a free tour of your community, make sure it's included at some point on your video.
