Success through FOLLOW UP

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

I spoke with my coach a couple of weeks ago and she told me that every single one of my clients (past, current and nurture) need to be followed up with every 3 weeks. This does not necessarily mean a phonecall, but sending an item of value (neighborhood analysis update), or even an email simply checking in. My assistant and I have been setting these updates for each contact every 3 weeks and are already feeling much more in sync with our database as well as organized and informed.

How do you keep in touch with your database? We are always eager to learn and bounce back ideas!

Monthly I email them a link to market reports.  I also keep in touch by letting them know about current events which many see as value.  If I am going to a community event or festival I generally send them a link to the info about it and a "look for me to say hi" and it's amazing how many people will go out of their way to talk to me at those events when I've done that.  And that quick face to face typically results in a referral or two shortly after.  (keeping in the front of their minds when someone talks real estate).  And at least once a week I try to have lunch or coffee with a past client.

Tammy Lankford I think I could use more face to face with my past clients.  Lunch or coffee is a great place for me to start!

This has been one of my goals to setup my database and a drip campaign to keep in touch. Most of my past clients see me on social media and get hand written cards during the holidays and birthdays.

Mike Wong I think hand written notes go the furthest, shows you really care by taking the time to write it to them and send it through the mail.  In a world of just online emails, to me that sticks out! Great job!
