I got my first listing yesterday! I am so pleased to say that I absolutely love the house! It is a Mid Century modernistic cool "wow" home. It has original counter tops that make most people go ewwww but hey for the slightly eccentric it is over the top COOL so I'm not exactly sure what advise to give the home owners on remodeling. The carpets definitely need to be updated but I am not sure about the counter tops and lighting fixtures. The lighting fixtures are a bit gaudy and not very geometric there just very 60's so the homeowners could probably sell them on ebay to collectors. Is this something that should be negotiated with the buyers? On the other hand, should I take the initiative to advise my sellers? I guess if the buyers hate them, they will just be happy to see them gone. The counter tops are a crème color with little funky orange flowers......so yeah but I would think that whoever loves the architecture of the home would also appreciate the mint condition of the counter tops but I am guessing that is something that remains to be seen.
