It is almost as if GOD THE FATHER was writing this song...AND...He wants to remind us of HIS SON’S PERPETUAL DIVINITY...!!!
SURE...we were saved by his PASSION, DEATH, and RESURRECTION...The ultimate sacrifice of LOVE...!!!
OVER THE CENTURIES...many have debated the theology of these words...but JESUS HIMSELF GAVE US A CLUE: ‘Unless you become as little children, you shall not enter the Kingdom of God’...!!!
SO...My Catholic Church, more than 15 centuries ago explains THE MYSTERY OF ‘GOD BECOMING FLESH’, THE INCARNATION, as JESUS BEING FULLY HUMAN, FULLY DIVINE...!!!
IF YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS, you don’t need to read this post any further, but if YOU HAVE CHILDLIKE FAITH IN CHRIST...YOU ARE HUMBLY BLESSED...AND GRACED SUFFICIENTLY...!!!
SO...When you sing ‘SILENT NIGHT’, THAT GREAT CHRISTMAS HYMN, think about that last verse...JESUS TRULY IS AND WAS OUR LORD AT HIS BIRTH...!!!
