 Suited for Change-a nonprofit D.C. organization that provides business attire and professional development training to low-income women invite the D.C. community and surrounding areas to attend their 16th Anniversary Celebration and Auction this Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Decatur House Museum in D.C.  

In the past two years, Suited for Change has helped put 14,000 low-income women on the path to employment. As they say, "You cannot get a job without an interview suit.  But you cannot afford an interview suit without a job."  Suited for Change provides professional clothing and ongoing career and life-skills education to more than 100 women each month from D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia. Clients include homeless women, domestic violence survivors, teen mothers, senior citizens, former offenders and those overcoming addictions.  Suited for Change's services increase employment potential and job retention rates to help them become economically independent.  Services are free and available by referral to low-income women who have completed the job readiness program and is looking for employment.
