A lucky day in San Francisco
I'm feeling that the sun, moon and stars must have all been in alignment during my recent quick trip to San Francisco.
Actually my visit included a couple of nights, first in LA and then to San Francisco (Miraga) to watch the Gonzaga Bulldogs win some more basketball games.) The weather was drop dead gorgeous (what I like to refer to as a chamber of commerce kind of day PLUS the Zags won both games! Of course.
Golden Gate Park was splendid and the Botanical Garden delightful. My wife was looking for a "significant magnolia collection" she had heard about (Magnolia Blossom display.) The Hamon Tower Observation Floor on the ninth floor of the de Young Museum was amazing. After awhile, a person runs out of adjectives to describe the beautiful views.
Lunch at the de Young Cafe was fresh and delicious.
It was a busy day of sightseeing which was shared with lots of folks in one of the grandest cities in the U.S. -- warm sun, blue skies and no wind.
A lucky day in San Francisco.
