Saturday, August 5 is the annual fundraiser for the Bogue chapter of the Surfrider Foundation at The Islander Hotel and Resort. The fundraiser will feature Sub Tropics Island Hopper Food Truck, Trevor Harris & The Birds, Lotus Y La Luna Fashion Show, and Carl Heverly Live Surfboard Shaping. This event is all ages so bring the whole family! Adults are $10 and kids 12 & under are free! There will be a live raffle including a 7'6 Carl Heverly Shape Funboard and thousands in giveaways, prizes, and packages!
The Surfrider Foundation USA is a grassroots non-profit environmental organization that works to preserve and protect the world's oceans, waves and beaches. The Surfrider Foundation largely focuses its work on such issues as water quality, beach access, beach and surf spot preservation, and sustaining marine and coastal ecosystems.
So come out and have a good time while contributing to the protection and preservation of out oceans and beaches!
