Last night the Centre County Community Foundation came to Penns Valley to celebrate the work the Foundation has done on behalf of Penns Valley local non-profits. About fifty people were on hand at the Elk Creek Cafe and Aleworks to review the work of the foundation with specific emphasis on the money that has been donated to Penns Valley in recent years.
The director of the Penns Valley Senior Center detailed all of the great improvements they were able to make to their center with money provided by the Centre County Community Foundation.
Currently, the Foundation has about $21 million in assets that can be made available as grants to local non-profits. Of course the Foundation is in need of continued monetary support so they can continue to help people in the community. Visit their web site at http://www.centrecountycf.org/
