Rte 112 Lincoln NH, we are about a mile from town but on this road the next town..or any building is 32 miles away over the Kancamagus Highway no gas station, no food no service, just half a dozen great look out points to turn in an d enjoy the view.

I had just rolled my window down and leaned out to take this shot, the cars didn't seam to bother this guy at all and he didn't look too skinny (he stood there and ate grass for a minute).

Apparently I was kinda bothering him because he switched lanes then gave me the look as if to say don't you have anything better to do, well no not really. I came out to take a picture of the house you are about 15 feet away from so I'll just watch you until your gone if you don't mind. Every day is a good photo day in the White Mountains. Especially when the wild life stop to have their picture taken..hello red!

They are normally so secretive.   Perhaps getting more used to having us as neighbors has made them less so.

Bill , actually got out of the car when he was in the middle of the road to get my camera out of the trunk.. doors opening and closing, I even whistled so he would turn around, he never ran just walk away from me and looked a few times to see what I was doing..I've seen less turkey's in my yard lately maybe he's getting fed well. Hey Thanks Mike , did you see Boo Boo and Yogi at yellow stone, we have people that hang out in their cars near the condo dumpsters to watch the bears and there is always some knuckle head that wants to tie a ham bone to the dumpster door as bait.. go to the zoo! thanks Steve

Cool. I had one run across a back yard as I stood with customers on the back deck. I wish I had my camera with me.

I love these pictures...The only thing I have seen here in the desert (AZ) is a snake or roadrunner on the road!!! I like this post, keep up the good work. Sometimes reading post that arent work related eases the day!

Good photos Steve. Normally, foxes are very shy and will run from you. Maybe it had one too many at the local tavern and forgot how to get back home. LOL

Steve... Once again, you've got an eye for photography.  These are wonderful shots.  We don't get to see red foxes here in CT... as a matter of fact, don't think I have ever seen one in real life.  Thanks for sharing.

Val, the flip side of seeing them is we also see them after they've been hit, I have seen two Moose just today..I always have turkey in my yard, and a family of brown mink (weasles) that play in the river behind my house.
