The Sands (Port Royal)

Located at the end of Sands Beach Road at the convergence of the Beaufort River and Battery Creek, these sandy beaches offer a great view of the river and estuaries.  Bring your boat or kayak and take advantage of the boat ramp to have even more fun. People come here to enjoy a relaxing walk along the beach or on The Henry Robinson Boardwalk which runs along Battery Creek.  The Sands is also the perfect place for crabbing and fishing.  You can also climb up the observation tower and survey the area for miles.

Naval Heritage Park (Port Royal)

Bring the kids to enjoy the unique playground featuring a Spanish Galleon replica.  Relax among the beautiful oak trees while you walk, skateboard, enjoy a picnic, or shop at the popular Port Royal’s Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning.

Cypress Wetlands (Port Royal)

If you love to birdwatch, Cypress Wetlands Amphitheater and Boardwalk is the perfect place to watch eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, herons, geese, ducks, and other migratory waterfowl in their native environment. Birds aren’t the only animals living here, as you’ll also find alligators, turtles, and snakes. Located on Paris Ave right off of Ribaut Ave.

Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park (Beaufort)

Enjoy stunning views of the Beaufort River, Woods Memorial Bridge, the western tip of Lady's Island, the eastern side of Port Royal Island and the northern tip of Parris Island from this equally beautiful park setting.  Annual events such as the Taste of Beaufort, Water Festival and the Shrimp Festival are hosted here.
