The Jefferson County Fair Association was founded in 1953 and provides the experience, and outdoes itself, each year. From only 13 acres on Old Leetown Pike that has been its location since 1975, the fairgrounds have expanded to 75 acres, providing enough space for the most exciting attractions and entertainment.
Enjoy a Week of Fun and Entertainment
Although the Jefferson County Fair started with three days of fun and frolic, it has now grown into a week-long event that attracts more than 30,000 people from all over the county and beyond. More than 100 commercial/retail names from the tri-county and tri-state areas have exhibit every year at the fair, and you can expect no less in 2018.
The 2018 Jefferson County Fair takes place from August 18th to August 26th, offering you every exhibit and program imaginable. From pet shows to matinees for children to antique tractor pulls, you can enjoy a variety of shows that are not only entertaining and fun but very educational as well.
You will definitely love the Civil War Living History Program to be held at the Horse Area. For those looking to do a little business, there will be livestock exhibits and sales to check out.
On August 25th, the Jefferson County Fair Association will open the Carnival Area to the public, meaning fun for you and your loved ones! You can enjoy music with the Jefferson High Pop Singers and Washington High Vocal Fusion. There is no end to the attractions and entertainment at the Jefferson County Fair. You can expect the best of everything when you are at the fair.
