There are so many fun, unofficial holidays.  One of my favorites, National Pizza Day, happens on Saturday, February 9th.  What better excuse do you need to bite into your favorite deep-dish or thin-crust pie?

In honor of this momentous occasion, here are our choices for the best Pizza Places that you can find right here in DC. Don’t see your favorite on the list?  Send me a message @RealtorJennell and try to Change My Mind!

Pete’s New Haven Style Apizza

Pete’s offers a great northeast style pizza with an amazing list of toppings.  This is our family’s go-to for Neapolitan.  I was so disappointed when the Silver Spring location closed, but Friendship Heights is not too far away.

Pi Pizzeria

Hands down, this place serves the best deep-dish in the region.  Bring your wallet because it is not cheap, but you will be lost in pizza heaven for hours.

Pizzeria Paradiso

This Dupont gem specializes in wood-fired pizza with fresh, flavorful toppings.  Perfect for a night on the town.

Timber Pizza Company

This Petworth sensation hit the ground running and has not slowed down yet.  Yes, we know the line is incredible, but the pizza is worth the wait.  The perfect, crispy crust is the star here.

Two Amys

After recovering from a disastrous basement flood, this mom-and-pop is back in action.  Their specialty is Neapolitan pizza that tastes best straight out of the oven.

&pizza

Finally, we were hesitant to include a chain restaurant on this list. However, local company &pizza earned the nod with its tasty, personalized pies. Somehow, that quick-service assembly line produces a crust that is better than most shops. Endless customization options are the cherry on top, especially that spicy honey finisher. You can’t go wrong at &pizza.
