Just a little bit about Seattle. . .

Seattle is known by many names, from “Sea-Town” for its reputation as a major coastal seaport to “Jet City” for its prominence in the aerospace industry to the “Emerald City” for its blanket of green hills, forested rural parks, and tree-lined coasts. By whichever name you call it, it is undeniable that Seattle is anything less than spectacular. Seattle is nestled between the majestic Cascade and Olympic mountains and boasts picturesque views of numerous lakes and waterways.

Those who have had the privilege of calling the Greater Seattle area their home can attest to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest region.  Seattle is home to some of the world’s biggest companies in technology, aerospace, and coffee, and is a foodie haven specializing in some of the best organic farmers markets, food truck festivals, artisan delicacies, and craft beers – Seattle-ites have a vast range of lifestyles and career opportunities to choose from.

Almost all within walking distance, there are over 1000 restaurants, upwards of 30 bars and/or cafes, and almost 2000 retailers in the Downtown Seattle area.  Seattle is a prime shopping destination with upscale national and international retailers as well as well-known department stores, specialty stores and boutiques.  Food lovers can find a plethora of wonderful dining experiences in Seattle – everything from 5-star dining to fast food – and everything from exotic to the simplest of dishes.

Entertainment

Seattle offers a little bit of everything for all to enjoy.  Its easy to get “lost” in the 12 different museums and 117 art galleries. Stroll along the waterfront to visit the Seattle Aquarium, or  take ride on the Great Wheel to get a bird’s eye view of the city and sound. Enjoy one of the walking tours, pub crawls or “Ride the Duck.”  You won’t be disappointed by any of Seattle’s first class Theatres, Symphony and Opera or you have your choice of the popular nightlife in Seattle with live music and dance clubs, microbreweries, neighborhood bars, wine bars and more.  Don’t miss the iconic Seattle Space Needle, the EMP, Chihuly Garden and Glass on the grounds of  Seattle Center too.
