I just want to say that I love my home and the builders are great but the HOA is awefull. We have gotten letter after letter for things that are just so stupid. They wont let you park your car in the road even durring the day, send you a letter if weeds start to come out when spring just here and so on. I hate the HOA and would leave here if I could because its just so over whelming to get letters for things you know you have to get to but have a busy life with work, school, kids and what ever else may come up in life. They make you feel like a child who mom is telling you to do your chores.

Also you $150.00 every year for what? Its not like they have a lot of grass to cut that doesnt belong to someone else and plus there isnt even a park and the sign that says Blackstone on it cant even be seen from the road. No one knows this is the right place unless you tell them how to get here.

Blackstone HOA you need to find better things to use our $150.00 a year for rather then pay someone to ride around and look at everyones house and tell them what there own home should look like. Blackstone is not a place you want to be.

Ashley, thank you for the feedback, I'm sure others will find it useful when considering Blackstone.

I think that many HOA's tread a fine line between keep the appearance of a community up or becoming an over zealous dictator.

You could always put yourself up for election to the HOA board.

As a note to all prospective buyers, if you are looking at a home in a community/neighborhood that has an HOA pr POA, make sure that you are aware of all rules governing the home BEFORE you ratify a contract of sale.

I know of one community that you are not allowed to bring a motoercycle on to the property. There are many weird and strange rules out there so beware before it's to late.

I too like my home. This is a great family neghborhood and fairly close to everything.I do wish we could have some speed limit signs though.I've witnessed more than one person flying down our streets during the day and night. This is scary, especially knowing after school alot of children are outside playing.I would hate to see an avoidable accident happen!!!!!!!!

i think there should be property checks to make sure that there has'nt been any type of sheds built on properties that are homemade makeshift styles that are an eyesore to there neighbors

Fed up

This community is full of Undercover Rednecks that harrass minority families. I don't feel like my children are safe. I worry about them constantly. They can not play tag outside with white children without a pic being taken of the group, cropped so that the white children aren't visible, and sent to the entire neighborhood with lies that make it look like the minority kids were bothering work trucks. And then posting that lie on the neighborhood Facebook page that was created for ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS except for Most People of Color. Police officers that live in the neighborhood know what is going on and some of them choose to partake in the IGNORANCE. If you are Minority and have Teenage Children, this is Not the place for you! Your neighbors will not accept you and they will make it so that lots of other community members feel the same way bc They are MISERABLE and Racist. There are a some people that are nice but the hatred definitely outweighs the good. Signed...Regretful
