Saturday Night Post...For Sunday Morning!

It's only a couple of weeks before the end of Spring...the season which highlights best God's work of creation! Well what about 'Summer', Fran...no, summer is the season when we ENJOY God's creation...nice weather, little rain, warm days, blossoming annual flowers which last but a season, tourism, etc., but Spring is much more evidential of the magnificence of God's creation...

Well here at Active Rain, we are no different...we experience seasons as well...in fact, I have read and seen signs of many 'seasonal' differences among us...there are differences in occupation, life styles, education, race, ethnicity, religion, etc...

The most distinct and recognizable difference is in the area of faith...

Now, Faith is a gift...given to all by virtue of their humanness...then, once a person grows, they can adopt whatever faith they choose...even atheists have 'Faith'...they 'believe' there is no God...'New Agers' believe that some kind of God exists, but he/she/it is not a person...just a concept...

Cutting to the chase...Christians believe in "Objective Truth', not subjectivism...in other words Christians don't believe that 'I'm OK, You're OK', and WHATEVER it is that one thinks, that is OK...no, that is not freedom, that is license...freedom recognizes that obeying red lights ia a good and necessary thing...speed limits are a good and necessary thing...Christians even agree with the state when it 'outlaws' murder...objective truths...

But Christians go one step further...they believe that 'Truth' is not merely a 'nice thing', or a 'virtue', or even 'a good idea', but that 'Truth' is actually a person...Jesus Himself...'I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life', Jesus says...

Those who follow Christ, Christians, are disciples of Jesus...they choose to follow Him...literally they choose to be 'discipled' or discilpined by Him...others choose to follow their own 'Way'...

Jesus, The Truth, tells us about Heaven, Hell, Death, and Judgement...the four 'last things'...

Someday, life as we know it will come to an end...and then, we will know the 'truth' for sure!

I pray that all of us follow the right voice...our lives depend on it!!!
