I love a good mini trip! There is so much to do close by when you live here in Spokane, Wa.
Here are a few of my favorite day trips and mini trips from Spokane, Wa.
1. Just an hour and a half from Spokane, lies the amazing little town of SANDPOINT, IDAHO. Sometimes we go for the day, and sometimes we stay for a week! The shopping and resteraunts are great. The natural beauty is breathtaking. The public city beach is amazing!
Even when our kids were tiny, we would get a room right on the beach and play!
2. SILVERWOOD THEME PARK! (www.Silverwoodthemepark.com)
If you want some action, head to Silverwood! It's just an hour from Spokane and it is great fun!
3. Palouse Falls
For a nice quiet peaceful drive, head to Palouse Falls. This is a great picnic spot!
WOW! ! TALK ABOUT BEAUTIFUL!
4. SUN MOUNTAIN LODGE! (www.sunmountainlodge.com)
My Oh My...3 hours from Spokane...is a spectacular place! We LOVE Sun Mountain Lodge!
Hiking, Horse Back Riding, biking...amazing!
5.COUER D ALENE, IDAHO
What can I say about CDA? Almost Heaven. 40 minutes from my front door lies perhaps one of the nations most popular small town resort destinations. Something for everyone, no matter your budget!
A free day at the park on the beach, or a world class dinner at the resort. A hike around Tubbs Hill, or shopping in fabulous downtown. We go several times a year!

ALSO- There are aproximatley 75 parks in the Spokane Wa. area. Each of these are worth seeing! It's an inexpensive way to play and enjoy the Pacific Nothwest!
