Marketing in the Age of Coronavirus: It's All High Touch

I wanted to share a contribution if it's helpful at all...

With the exception of property marketing (through homesnap which is generate a lot of activity but questionable quality so far), I have discontinued all other marketing and refocused solely on the following:

1) Calls to everyone in my Winning Team database (past clients who are still on board, referring agents, etc) just to listen.  Sometimes I've had pretty good advice they hadn't thought of. It's amazing how much people appreciate a call with no agenda.  We have never had a better excuse to make them.

2) Sending out more personal notes than ever with inspirational quotes.

3) I sent out 20 cloth masks to my elderly clients who live alone

4) I have been sending out books from my personal collection with handwritten notes to people I thought would read them.  Quarantine book lists.

It's all time consuming but every single one generates a response versus in the past when notes, birthday cards, etc. would usually generate no response.  In other words, our clients have never been more receptive to us.  And given the fact that the world being topsy turvy often leads to needing us - the timing is important as we can help aid them.

Conversations I have had have been interesting sometimes very sad, especially a couple clients in a rock/hard place with their very recent purchases.  But talking it through is key.  We can be a solution or at least an educated sounding board.

Hi Shawn Cunningham, this is a wonderful approach. So many of us are lacking personal connection these days and you've made it a cornerstone of your marketing. Thanks for sharing.
