Tim Larkin
I got to meet Tim Larkin on a Zoom call. As a matter of fact, he was one of our guest speakers. A very good one too.
Tim is enthusiastic (to say the least) and is very personable. He is able to take a subject that is boring to many and make it come alive and make you excited about it. He was talking about 1031 tax exchanges (not the most exciting thing to talk about) and how it's not just for the wealthy (though many think it is), but for the everyday person selling real estate and creating generational wealth by not having to pay taxes on it. He knows all of the ins and outs of this type of transaction.
He went on to tell us how the government allows this and how it helps to stimulate the economy and also grow your or your client's legacy.
He started doing this because of the lack of education in the space with those that mattered and had a wide reach - you.
He now has been doing this for Sellers and Sellers through Realtors for numerous years. I really don't want to tell you how long because that may date him!
It’s important to know that you can exchange your property for “like kind” and he explains it well. I thought I knew a lot about it, but I learned a great deal in the hour that we spent together on the call. Go to his website to learn what you can.
I highly suggest that you take a few moments out of your day and not only get to know him, but also get to know about the 1031 Exchange itself.
I also knew that I liked him because his birthday is March 9th. My Mom's birthday is March 8th and I have a great relationship with her and not just because she's my mom!
