Good morning Gentle Readers! Well here we are, standing outside the Cyber Café Conversations coffee shop and restaurant in our shirtsleeves enjoying the +43ºF St. Paul morning. As most of you know, the Cyber Café is a place where you may come, anytime, grab a porcelain, not China, but made in China, Codger™ Collectible mug of organically & shade-grown, fair-trade, coffee, or tea, or—well you decide—we have it. Here you may speak your mind (within the limits of common decency & courtesy, of course) freely, as your thoughts and opinions are welcome here.
You may have noticed the new graphic. This is the one we will use for a while for our temperate-weather “Old Men & Coffee Shops” conversation series. The now-staged (made-over) character’s caricatures are from left to right: (front row) Jay, Medford, Carl, Harold, Fred (cool shorts, Fred), and the (the imaginary) Molly, (second row) Jay’s old pick-up, (back row): Our almost-a-codger friend, Boomer, and his delightful Daisy, the long legged Beagle.
Our little cyber-adventure, in combination of the first tentative probes of Spring into Winter’s clutch on St. Paul have made us immune to the implied (and obvious) entreaties of our Florida Gentle Readers to go south. March will remind us that winter still has a few punches, but as April approaches, they will soon become very weak, indeed.
So, stop on by, grab a mug, & tell us what’s on you mind!
(WOW this is our 200th Post!)
