Hello Everyone!

I took a class yesterday that covered mls statistics reports.  It was exceptionally insightful and I was amazed at the reports I can produce.  I had used 1 or 2 reports mainly, but I learned the purposes of all the reports.  Some of the current data was unimpressive but knowing is half the battle.  With the information we can make educated decisions.

Another thing I learned about the mls was that we can customize our search results page.  I had been using the default search results for 4 years and now I learned you can customize it.  This will be great going forward.  Two of the features that I added were consecutive days on market and original list price.  consecutive days on market tells you how long it has ben listed regardless of whether an agent withdraws the listing and puts it back on.  Original list price shows you what it was first listed for right next to the current price.  These features are great.  There were so may other features that could help, i look forward to exploring the options.  You can set up multiple results pages and flip your results to any style you like.  Different clients may want to see different information.

I actually write my own market reports from scratch. I'll take the data I need from the MLS and make it my own report and it works...the consumer find me easier and I'm on top. This way it's customized to the way I want it and gives you more options.
