So there they were. Husband and wife or boyfriend and girlfriend. Both heavily tattooed. Both wearing biker vests. Both looking like you don’t want to mess with them in a dark alley.
Since this was a timeshare organization with an elite property, all the salespeople thought it would be a waste of time to take these folks as their tour. So, a manager approached one sales person and said that if they would agree to tour this couple, the tour wouldn’t count against their closing percentages and the manager would owe the salesperson a favor.
The sales person took them through the tour, knowing he was wasting his time. Finally it became time to bring in a manager to give one last shot at selling a timeshare. That was when they got an unusual question from the couple.
The man leaned over and said, “We really like these. Uh, we do a high volume of cash business in our tattoo shop. Can we hold this deal until tomorrow when my assistant manager can bring the cash. We can pay 20% down tomorrow and the balance within 90 days. Oh, and can we get 2 of these instead of just one?”
You just never know what opportunity may come in and you think it is disguised as a problem.
