Housing Gratitude

Your home was EVERYTHING

During the quarantine, your home was your EVERYTHING, quite literally. And now your home is a lot, but you have more home, work, and travel balance.

You may be happy with your home now, or you may feel you missed the boat to buy or sell because of inflation and the real estate market adjusting.

Perspective

You have a choice on how to consider your situation and what actions you take now and in the next several months – you can choose to be glad you’re renting and not responsible for repairs, or you can choose to move now that the market is more balanced.

You have time to make a decision, choices to get a mortgage you know you will refinance sooner than later. Or you can stay in your current home and make changes and improvements – you probably have equity you can use to pay for them.

Interest Rates

Interest rates don’t matter enough to make that decision – if you want or need to move, choose to do that. If you are ready to sell and change your living situation, as Nike says, Just Do It! If your landlord raises your rent or you’re afraid your lease isn’t going to be renewed, then choose to move into a home where you have more control of your situation.

An Attitude of Gratitude

An attitude of gratitude that you have a choice can make all the difference. Take time to talk to me about your situation to confirm your options or create a plan to take care of a home to-do list for the next few weeks and months. Maybe you should look at your home and auto insurance to get the lowest premium you can, or maybe you have already saved enough money to buy a home; down payments and deposits are not as high as they were in 2021.
