If you should find yourself traveling south on State Hwy 302 from Aiken, the road name becomes Silver Bluff Road. It actually dead ends into the Savannah River, about a half mile past the Audubon Center.

Silver Bluff is named after the old Silver Bluff Plantation and consequently The Silver Bluff Church-{"The first church of Negro Baptists - the very first and oldest, so far as authentic and trustworthy writings of the eighteenth century establish, was constituted at Silver Bluff, on Mr. Galphin's estate (Silver Bluff Plantation), a year or two before the Revolutionary War. It continued to worship there, in comparative peace, until the latter part of 1778."}
