Welcome back to Paradise,
What a great weekend it was here in Long Branch, NJ. Independance day is such a great hiloday to spend on the Jersey shore! A holiday like the 4th of July is also a great time for we Realtors to get our company face around, and maybe even do some business. Long Branch has a boardwalk festival that brings people from all over the area to enjoy shopping, and carnival-style food. The event is called OceanFest, and I blogged about it for a post to Localism if you'd like to find out more. This is a perfect opportunity to get our faces out to the public, at a function that many people attand. The more people in our business can have our faces out there with the general public the better, because if it were not for a day like this I wouldn't ever be able to see that many of my neighbors.
Besides charity work, I think that town wide events are the best places to get your company's name out there. As more people are there than you'd ever see just going around town, this is where you should be. No one is going to buy or sell a house on the 4th, but you just need to be there to talk to potential customers. These events are for POTENTIAL, and if you make it to enough of them your company and Your face will be in the public's mind as a part of the community. If you do go for the exposure of town wide events, make sure to bring extra buisness cards and try to have something that will really make people remember your company. At this event we gave out bottles of water with our Logo on them, and we found some frisbees at a dollar store that we then also put our logo on. Children loved the frisbees and hopefully their parents will see our logo when they play with them at home. These were just 2 inexpensive things we did to make OceanFest a sucess for our business, hopefully it will pay off for us, but it was just nice to be a part of the comminuty for the day. The Long branch fireworks were held immediately following OceanFest and were beautiful!
