The REMAX Sea Island Realty Raft Race teams battles their way to 2nd place in the Commercial Division in the Beaufort Water Festival Raft Race Saturday morning. Also, the team of 11 REMAX'ers raced in 5 heats to finish 2nd overall competing against 32 teams.
The team of 11 were a good mix of all ages from teenagers to senior citizens. The team had assistance from Hawkeye Home Inspections of Beaufort with Lenny Andrews and his children paddling for the RE/MAX Sea Island Realty team. Also, Jen Mahoney, a local event planner, paddled with the team. Jen Mahoney paddled on last years' winning team from Bray's Island. The teams' name was very appropriately named REMAX Sellers of the SC Seas.
Later that evening, the team had a celebration at Paul and Diana Earnst home in Red Bluff neighborhood on Ladys Island. Chris Mahoney (Jen's husband) prepared the delicious entrees for the evening.
