Welcome to Braemar's Clareybrook Park, located just off the intersection of Rob Roy Way and Sudley Manor Drive. This is one of two official parks in Bristow, VA's Community of Braemar, Braemar Park being the other.
Clareybrook Park is most well-known as "the park next to the pool." This area in the newer, or more recent built section of Braemar was carved out for recreation for kids twelve and below, but has some aurrounding attractions that serve residents of all ages. For the purpose of this article, we won't focus on the pools in Braemar. This is to acquaint you with the fun you can have virtually year round in and around Clareybrook Park and it's surrounding amenities.
What grabs your attention first, is the brightly colored playground. Complete with the slide and swings you would expect, Clareybrook offers many other play sets for your children to explore.
One of the little noticed features of the playground is the asphalt track that circles it. A great place for a sibling who prefers to bike or rollerblade, while their brother or sister romps on the playground.
There are two kid-sized half-court basketball courts within Clareybrook Park. This helps those twelve and under players get acquainted with the game on a scale that is more appropriate to their height.
Family oriented activities are encouraged at Clareybrook Park as well. Enjoy the covered picnic pavillion. Make an afternoon of it! Bring lunch or dinner in a basket.
Just outside Clareybrook Park, and open to those over the age of twelve are more teenage and adult friendly are the two half-court basketball courts. If basketball isn't your game, try a game of tennis. There's a completed fenced court.
Of course, if you'd like a mental "day at the beach", bring your volleyball. With the water splashing beside you from the Iona Sound Pool, you might just be able to get that vacation feeling.
And when you're done with your meal, take a relaxing stroll on the Braemar Trail. This walking path strolls through the neighborhood and connects with the Broad Run Trail. It even connects with Cedar Point Elementary.
There are so many things to do in this one location in Braemar. If you haven't yet explored it, you should. Of course, if you are looking for a community that offers amenities like these, there are large number of townhoues and single family homes surrounding Clareybrook Park. Homes of all sizes and price ranges.
Explore Braemar. It's a community with much to offer.
