A New Law of the Universe

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

It never fails that a well planned vacation will be preceeded and followed by an influx of business.  New leads, new ideas, contacts from long lost prospects...it all happens in waves and usually on the day before a trip.  It happened to me this weekend and I've finally reached the stage in my career where I can briefly address them, put them on hold til Monday, and enjoy my vacation without thinking about the work I'm leaving behind.

I hope all you 'Rainers get a well-deserved summer vacation!

shnon it seems that when you try to get out of town you are  just working the hours you taking off before and after.

Shannon, my broker has long said plan a vacation and your listing will sell. I go out of town and there's a flurry of activity, it never fails, but you can't stop your life. Just have someone cover for you and most things can wait.

I completely agree.  Anytime you want to increase your business, just plan a vacation that you can't get out of.

It always happens to me. When I head out of town, a contract will materialize out of nowhere.

It is Murphy's law in action because you know if you cancel the vacation that contract or hot new listing will dry out.  I know the team solution is not for everyone but in this cases it can be helpful.

Bringing you home...

Shannon - That happened to me this weekend too. I managed to put it all away over the weekend... not sure how but it worked! :-) Hope that you had a wonderful weekend off.

Shannon, maybe we all need to plan vacations to get this market going. Plus it would help our economy too! I'm planning mine tomorrow...
