Making the right choice for a Lawyer

By
Real Estate Agent with Gloria Nilson & Co. Real Estate
Here is the scenario-you have finally found the dream home for Mr. and Mrs. Buyer. It has everything they need-new this.... new that... You are at the office having them sign the contracts and ask them who they are going to use for an attorney, or if they are going to use an attorney. They reply "My cousin Jed is a lawyer...he handles small claims, divorce, malpractice, add another 5 things he does and.......real estate. My question is how without stepping on the excited buyers toes do you tell them this might not be the right choice to make. I have seen it in the past and seen many people get hurt through the process. Let me know!

I would let them know that a jack-of-all-trades lawyer knows a little about a lot and in this case, they need an attorney that specializes in real estate.
