The fall semester at Virginia Tech will begin on Monday August 25th. Every summer before Tech resumes classes, the road crews work on the roads, so they will be in good shape for the students and for the winter. One change the students and football fans will notice right away is the increased speed limit on the 460 by-pass. The speed limit has been 55 for a long time. The speed limit is now 65. The VDot road crews have been changing the signs the past few days. Some of the signs still say 55, but the speed limit on that road is now 65. 460 by-pass is the road that circles around Blacksburg.

I'm guessing that the drivers don't need a sign to go 65... at least that's how it works where I live. :-)

Yes, you are right. Most of the drivers don't need those signs. They were driving 65 all along.
