Oklahoma continues to defy the national press reports of a dismal real estate market. Central Oklahoma sales are continuing at a solid rate.
The Central Oklahoma area covers nearly 3500 Square Miles and includes Oklahoma City, Edmond, Yukon, Mustang, Moore, Midwest City, Del City, Guthrie, Luther, Jones Harrah, Choctaw, The Village, Nichols Hills, Bethany, Warr Acres, Union City, El Reno, Minco, Tuttle, Newcastle, Blanchard. Piedmont and others.
Latest sales statistics show us that sales are below the historic levels of the last 3 years and back to a more normal rate. Even with fewer homes sold prices are still increasing. According to the Oklahoma County assessor prices have increased between 3% and 5% over last year. Home prices are increasing prices even as the number of homes on the market has increased to record levels. The average days on the market is only slightly higher than last year.
