Today my friends and I went to the beaches of Soap Lake,Wa. It was wonderful to take a day off from my busy real estate business and dare I say turn my phone off. The beach was clean, water warm and the sand very hot. Our temperature was about 103 degrees. We made our way down to the beach with bucket in hand. What's the bucket for you ask? The mud we dig up from the bottom of the lake which is smooth as butter. We then put it all over us including the face. The face is the hard part because the mud has a very mineral smell and you have to get use to it. Once you do that it's time to sit and wait for it to dry. Make sure that the mud dries to a light grey before rinsing off.
There are many benefits to this mud bath. Here is a link that will go over those things and the history of the lake. Fascinating! www.soaplakewa.com.
It's very important to get the mud out of the right part of the lake. To find this out you can ask someone or watch where others go. When the mud goes on it should be smooth and go on easily and very black. If it is clumpy it's not the best mud but still has many benefits that you will find in the link above. What I hear from the towns' people is those that have any kind of skin disorder really benefit from the mud and water.
If you need help finding the right mud call or email me I only live across the steet.
