In my day to day life I often, or should I say nearly always feel so hurried. I see people swirling around me everywhere I go. Our lives have truly become chaotic for the most part.

STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF.

Do you ever feel this way? I find it amazing that we can actually do something about it. We are not victims of this fast forward society, but rather we are co-creators . Let's take some responsibility by making a conscious effort to do something concrete and intentional to slow ourselves down. Our mind, body and spirit truly needs to experience some form of being rather than doing.

The incredible thing about BEING is that it is truly free.  Just think about that for a moment. FREE.

A walk in the park, a nap on the couch, a great song on the radio, a warm bath, a good book, a foot rub, these are all things that free the mind of daily toxins such as angry passerby's, financial stresses, and the like.

Take time today to give yourself a free gift. But before you do...may I suggest: Unplug your phone (s), step away from our technical addictions, laptops, blackberry, yada, yada, yada.

BE.   STOP.   LAUGH.  CRY.  PRAY.   NAP.   STRECTCH.   SING.   SMELL.    TASTE.   TOUCH.   LISTEN.

Stop and smell the roses. Life is precious...Take it from someone who has had 5 busy children, cancer, a stillborn baby, and has a wonderfully demanding career and life. I have seen many mind boggling things in my life, and I truly am blessed beyond measure. Today, NOW, I will hit the pause button and unemcumber my soul and be a human being rather than a human doing, if only for a moment.

Feel the goodness of the present by experiencing something free and amazing.

For example, have you ever just stared at the sky? I bet you did when you were a kid! Rustle up that inner child and lay on the grass and take in the moving of the clouds.

Embrace the simple pleasures that are free indeed.
