Hi fellow Rainers,
I'm writing this blog for the simple reason that I felt the need to!
As we're all aware, hurricane Gustav just rolled through the New Orleans area of Louisiana.
We're all assembled here on Active Rain for numerous reasons. Whether it's to promote ourselves, get ideas on how to be a better Realtor or just to share a joke with our commarades, one thing is for sure: WE ARE ALL COLLEAGUES in this together.
So, with that being said, I looked on Active Rain for members in the New Orleans region. I felt compelled to just send a note to see if they're ok. What I sent appears below.
Please take a moment out to do the same. We all know someone who will appreciate it and spreading good will can only result in more good will.
Feel free to cut and paste my message if you can't think of what to write and send it to those who may have been affected.
Naturally I've been watching the news about Gustav and I thought it might be a good time to just send a quick note to my fellow Active Rainers in your area to let you know I was thinking of you and hoping you're safe and sound.
It seems that the preparedness this time around was much better and the coordination of the local authorities did a decent job of evacuating and securing the region. At least that was the spin on the news channels.
Hopefully you or anyone you know didn't suffer any damage or injury.
