New to Active Rain but not to to Buffini Systems!! Fall Popby ideas anyone??

My name is Julie Teel, my husband and I have been in coaching for 1 year now. We are in Navarro Cunty Texas!  We own one REMAX office and are building our second location at the nearby Richland Chambers Lake to open in November!  We just returned from San Diego and were supercharged by the great line up and the Blues Brothers Skit!  I could not help thinking of my trunk full of summer popbys that were obviously not gonna make it to their new owners until next summer!  Thank goodness they were grilling tools and accessories that I can recycle for next year.  Now that things are slowing a little, I am contemplating  what to do next!  Anyone have any great ideas for fall??  Of course since I bombed on my popbys for the summer, I need an idea to get excited about to make sure they make it to the new owners.

Julie,

Do you know Janice Penick?

Any way's, we did some different pop by's this season.  I think we have some tiny Halloween baskets going out filled with candy, we did some fall votive candle (can't leave on doorstep or will melt in this heat!) and some of our larger corporate groups we are doing a luncheon where we are doing the serving in chef's hats and smocks!  Not sure i this helps..but maybe you will have an idea spark from here...hope so!

Sheila,

I do not know Janice.  Is she in the DFW area??  Thanks for the ideas!  I was thinking a small mum or pumpkins,  I tend to go over board on popbys!

Julie, Welcome to our Buffini Family Blog!  I am so glad that you found us:)  Congratulations on your office growth! I purchased books with first aid tips for my popbys this month.  Thought I would do something other than the back to school supplies this year.  I usually do the mum plants for October.  They are so beautiful to see with their different colors.  My summer flowers are still holding on, but, not for long. Here in Connecticut, one cold night and they are history.

It's a Good Life!

I'm doing something in the Halloween line with this as a tagline :  "Be afraid of Witches and Ghouls but not of this market with me as your Trusted Adviser"

Susan, Very nice!  I always stumble with the tagline.  My clients try to help me through with good ideas.  I find the gift, they provide the tagline:)

I am a virtual assistant in New Jersey.  Several of the Realtors I work for collaborate on pop by's - there's no competition, since they're all delivering to their own past clients, not a farm area.  This month we bought everyone a pot of mums with a tag that read "Don't be MUM - I appreciate referrals!"  In August it was sidewalk chalk, "Chalk our success up to experience!"  Not sure what we'll do for October, but I liked some of the ideas in your comments.  One of the Realtors I work for bakes, so November will be a homemade pie or her carrot cake.  I plan to include a recipe card with her contact information;actually several recipe cards, so they can be given to friends.  Hope that gives you some ideas!

Hello!  Our clients have come to expect homemade goodies in December so that's our standard December one.  My coach has given me excellent ideas.  One of my favorites is to give pastry servers around Thanksgiving to let your clients know how much we enjoy serving them and their referrals.  Since sunny and hot is the norm here, we gave out bottles of sunscreen stating not to get burned when buying or selling, that we've got them covered.  That one was a big hit (another thanks to my coach)!

I don't have the name handy, but there is someone (maybe even a couple of individuals) who will put together your pop-bys for you and you just have to deliver them.  A loan officer in coaching ordered 20/month - one time it was tape measures - with a cute tag and line.  He said it forced him to do them because he paid for them (I think they averaged $5-$7 for 20) and they were sitting around as reminders.  I enjoy putting mine together, but it's a resource that's available.  Candy seems to be common for Halloween and a tag about not getting tricked or it's a treat to work with you.

Have a great week,
Stephanie
