MLS on your PDA/Smartphone

By
Real Estate Agent with West End Residential

For everyone using a smartphone/PDA (I use a Treo 700p) there have been only a handful of conduit-type software applications that allow you to wirelessly access the MLS. http://www.borran.com/pocketrealestate.php is one of them which I used for years until finally, finally,Garden State MLS came up with their mobile version  http://mls.gsmls.com/mobile.

The great thing about the GSMLS version is you can actually email listings exactly as they would appear if sent from the main site.  I sent one as a test to a friend and he thought it came from the main website.  Very cool indeed.

If your MLS does not have a mobile site then maybe the Pocket Real Estate software or other 3rd party applications would work but I definitely suggest utilizing them.

Hi Peter - check out the apps for TREO and other PDA's from google – google mobile.  Our TMLS has been available to us via our PDA's for a while now and we love it.

Thanks for the info Pam!  By the way, I've taken your advice and set aside a dedicated "blogging day".
