Hi Jason.  I haven't had any "other" points as some of the things that people got bonus and other points for, don't exist now and come up from time to time.  You can write up to five posts a day and get 200 points for each, but no more than 10 in a week, a week being Saturday night.  You get 25 points for each comment on someone else's article (not your own article) and you can do 10 of those a day.

I started on 12/28 and am at 46,000 plus.  I worked on it like a dog for many weeks and then got too busy to focus.  I'm back at it again.  I can't always spend the time required.

Jason -

You can also get points for posting pictures to localism and/or by identifying a neighborhood on the map for localism...

Ardell - blogging is hard work.  You definitely need another break :)

Jason - every once in awhile AR will run contests - blogging, membership guesses, etc - which they award points for.  They used to give points for adding associates (they don't any more).  I think those fell into the other category.

Jason - I agree with the previous posts but also

1) you can also get points by introducing other professionals to the AR community and by "inviting" them you get a referral bonus if you will of 10% of their points(forever I think?). This has helped cause this fast viral spread of the AR network.

2) Ray mentioned quality blogs - I guess some feature blogs can get up to 500 pts? However, featured or not you get extra points for writing quality blogs - I know I have gotten some that way too.

3) Adding to your profile - add testimonials, add info about how you do business, etc. I think the first time you look at your profile or points or something you get extra points so explore your home page

4) If you have another website y ou get 400 points for linking to AR

5) I've also seen points given for being a helpful member of the community - that's harder to really effect - just be helpful give your best and some extra points may get awarded.

6)Somehow people that run certain "Groups" get to hold contests or challenges and offer points - not sure how that works - i'm not there yet.

Those are the ones I can think of in addition to what was already said. I hope that helps. If you want to check out my home page I think my profile is over 1700 points - just see where your is now - that's a great place to keep adding and perfecting your message because it's what visitors see about you.

Jason - Great question.  As a newbie myself I'm still learning how to do things here.

Cyndee/Ben/Ray/Sabine/Ardell - Thanks for being so helpful.  I just love the AR community so far.
