A Realtor (Agent /salesperson) knows the majority of our time is spent on developing leads "Buyers & Sellers". We all know that this is the basic and the most critical element to be successful in our business "Real Estate". I must say prospecting for buyers and sellers is an ongoing process. so do not let other activities such as contracts, inspections and showings take you out of the business of doing your prospecting every day.
I am a Prudential Rand Agent and I am proud to be part of a great company. Prospecting is a daily requirement at Prudential Rand Realty. Prospecting means you are consistently looking for new clients who is looking to sell or looking to buy, you can do prospecting around the:
- Neighbourhood recent sales,
- just listed,
- FSBO,
- Expired
- Sphere of Influence.
Contacting neighbors around a property that you, or someone in your office, recently sold is a very effective method of finding additional buyers and sellers. I think you will discover by using this method of prospecting that a home owner in the immediate neighborhood may have a need to sell their home or looking to buy, also they might know of someone else who is thinking about selling or buying.
I also think by making "Just Sold" contacts with regularity can be one of yur best sources of getting new leads. Think of it as " You are taking advantage of your company track record in selling homes in the area". When one of your company listings sells, that is an excellent reason for contacting new prospects and offering your services. In todays market we need to make a few adjustment, maybe do somethings the old fashion way, we need all the help we can get. Lets go for it guys, we have all day to do our prospecting. Remember we have our own success in our hands.
