Architectural Style: This area offers mostly transitional colonials, with build dates in 1980's.  Typically in 2-story formats, they are sited on lots that are wider than they are deep, in how they are oriented to the street.

Average Home Price:
    $742,000

Schools: Serviced by great public schools with excellent reputations: Henrico County Schools of Maybeury Elementary, Tuckahoe Middle, and Freeman High School. Several exceptional Private schools are within a few minutes drive St. Christopher's, St. Catherine's, Steward School and Collegiate can be walked or biked to. The University of Richmond is nearby.

Recreation: Most everything can be found in this area of Henrico County either through local and/or private pools, or nearby country clubs , or through the many quality programs provided by Henrico County Recreation.  And for those seeking 'recreational  guidance', many seek out the SEALS program.  If you prefer water based recreation, there ia lots of information and choice to be found at theses sites: rowing, sailing, yachting clubs, Virginia Boat Club, Richmond Yacht Club.  Or if you prefer league sports (adult and youth), try these sites: volleyball, soccer, or tennis, plus there are great youth programs in Little League, Lacrosse, and swimming.  Don't forget equestrian interests.  There's also a premier climbing  gym (indoor), just across the river and a sports park for practicing your batting or golfing skills.  If country club golf/socializing is more to yor tastes, Goochland County's 'Country Club Corridor' has much to offer and it's only minutes drive west!

Transportation: Access to business, shopping, etc. is so easy.  Using River Road, Gaskins Rd. and/or Rte 6/Patterson Avenue, everywhere and anywhere you want to go, is just minutes away.

It's premiere benefit is proximity to the Collegiate private school, which is a walk-to, and to Steward School just to the west. Additionally, this area offers large houses, available at small dollar per square foot costs, but paired Henrico County's low taxes and great public schools, should private venues not suit their needs.
