City of Fort Worth officials and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Neighborhood Stabilization Program are working together and have implemented a forgivable grant program targeted at foreclosures of new development outside of the Loop 820 area. They will be offering 280 loans at $20,000 a piece for families making up to a $77,500 income. If the families stay in the home for five years, then the city will forgive them. Zip codes included in the program are 76179, 76131, 76248, 76137, 76112, 76123, and 76133.
