Finally! After a year in business I have my first out of town customer. A woman, trying to sell her house, happened upon my website and contacted me to do a floor plan. I had been messing around with MapsAlive at the time and after completing the floor plan I suggested doing an interactive tour. Once she took a look at an example she was hooked. Not only did she ask me to do the tour, but also wanted a whole new website devoted to her home!

After working with the free version of MapsAlive creating a couple of floor plans, I quickly upgraded so I could buy additional slides and have the ability to download the tour. Once a tour is created on their site, you can download the html and files, then save them to your web server. From here you just point the browser to this location and it will be there until you take it down. Once you create the tour you probably will not need to modify it so you can reuse the slides so you dont have to buy hundreds of slides. I got 30 slides which means I can do 3 tours at a time with 10 slides each active on their system. You can buy additional slides at any time and there is a prorated cost for number of slides. This is a yearly renewal so in a year I will need to pay another $40 +/- to keep things active. I have yet to explore the full potential of the service, and I have noticed some limitations, but for the most part, its very user friendly, especially if you want to play around with it on their system for free.
I will post more as I get further into their service. I look forward to hearing from anyone who has experience with MapsAlive or other similar software.
