I want to write a post, that is not about Real Estate, however I got so excited about this service I had to mention it.
As people know REALTORS® drive a lot. I have been looking for a new car and was thinking of the Jetta TDI which gets phenomenal gas mileage. However the question was to buy one now or wait for next model to come out. They are still selling the 2006 models and the 2008 model comes out about this time next year.
Of course the sales people at the dealerships I went to said, go ahead and buy one now, then these cars keep their resale value so well you can simply sell it and buy the new one in a year with little loss of money.
Well in turns out that the new TDI is going to have 40% more horsepower, get even better gas mileage and lower emissions. It is going to be a major model change.
I called Sam who offers a car buying service that some friends had recommended to me. His initial consultation is free. Based on the information he gave me when we sat down for tea, I made the very clear choice to wait until next year to purchase the newer model and not buy now and then try to resell in a year.
