The best thing to do in this market is to sell the home at "the right" price and add the incentives or bundle services (like home inspection, attorney's fees, even landscaping) -- Great blog Rich, and best of luck  - Gail Matre, Esq.

When is enough-enough?

Several agents that I have spoken with over the last few months are at wits end.

Can we really keep dropping prices to move a home? Lately, I've been trying to think outside the box and now have the seller offering more incentives. One great idea to help the seller and still maintain the integrity of the neighborhood, is offering a buy down of the mortgage rates. In fact, I've received calls from neighbors that have thanked me for taking a proactive stance.  The price per square footage remains good and helps with future comps.

 When is enough-enough?

The Charlotte, NC market, presently has 10 months of inventory and buyers are slowing coming off the fence. Knowing they can purchase a home of greater value than before. Trying to explain to sellers that they may take a loss on the sale of their home now but will recoup it with the purchase of a home that was previously out of their price range.

What are you doing in this economy and market?

well, as far as thinking outside the box......we are trying to accumulate as much cash flow as possible through rentals.  The market will turn........it always does, and then the few of us left standing will be victorious
