I was pleased to see that the number of home sales in Clarksburg, MD has increased compared to last year. Specifically, the number of homes sold in zip code 20871 is up 66.67 percent for November 2008 compared to November 2007. The total dollar value of homes sold in Clarksburg was $4,454,490 this November in comparison to $2,829,140 last November, which is a 57.45 percent increase. The average selling price for a home was $445,449 -- down 5.53 percent compared to last year. The bottom line: More homes are selling in our neighborhood, but at a lower price.
