Shope Gardens Construction was established in 1975 by Donald D. Shope, who was also the developer of "Shope Gardens", Middletown, PA. His son, Donald J. Shope, is now operating the business.
Since then Shope Garden's Construction has built some of the later homes of Shope Gardens; has been building duplexes at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra and has built several single homes in the surrounding area.
